Claude Monet - The Impressionist Painter

  1. Claude Monet was the quintessential impressionist painter. His paintings elicited the title "impressionist" when a critic referred to one of them as "nothing but impressions." He loved to paint "au plein air" (outside). He was a central figure in the group. Gabe Meruelo.
