Christian Ferras plays the Adagio of the Sibelius Violin Concerto, the one composition which brought me into the classical music camp as a serious fan during my college days. I would go into one of the listening rooms in the college library and immensely enjoy this composition as well as others that I started to listen to again. I say again because as a child my favorite composition was La plus que lente by Claude Debussy and my parents had acquainted me with classical music. I discovered many great artists during my college days, including Sergei Rachmaninoff and many others. The version of Sibelius Violin Concerto I listened to at the time was by Zino Francescatti; I didn't find one in You tube, but Mr. Ferras does a virtuoso job, so I'm posting his version. Gabe Meruelo.
