Dieterich Buxtehude (c.1637-1707) - Cantatas & Sonatas

1 comment:

  1. Dietrich Buxtehude was one of the leading North German Lutheran composers and organists of his day. He had an enormous influence on J.S. Bach, who took a leave of absence from his job to travel 200 miles on foot to hear him play in person. Bach stayed long past his allotted time in order to absorb all the knowledge he could from this master. Bach was beginning his career and this was a formative experience for him. Gabe Meruelo.
