Dieterich Buxtehude (c.1637-1707) - Cantatas & Sonatas

1 comment:

  1. Dietrich Buxtehude was one of the great Northern German Lutheran composers of the late XVII and early XVIII centuries. He had a strong influence on many of the composers of his time, including Johann Sebastian Bach, who traveled 200 miles on foot to watch him play. Buxtehude was primarily an organist and composer, and wrote much church music as well as many cantatas such as these performed in this recording. Gabe Meruelo.
