From the Goldberg Variations, Glenn Gould at the piano. No one plays Bach like Gould. I read sometime ago that Bach composed these variations for his employer who suffered from insomnia. They were supposed to be played as a means to help him go to sleep. Ironic that something so beautiful may cause someone to rest, but all of Bach's music was written as if for God.
